Pen Handicapper Scott Alberg took top honors in leg 27 of HANA Harness' The Pen vs. The Chip Handicapping Challenge sponsored by the Hambletonian Society, Meadowlands, Tioga Downs, and Vernon Downs by scoring a Win ROI of 1.300 with gross earnings of $28.60 in a favorite-laden card at Grand River Raceway.
Alberg had a total of five winners on the day’s race card.the Pearl was top dog in the Exacta side challenge by scoring a ROI of 1.980 with gross earnings of $87.10.
Through twenty-seven legs of the competition in the books, the updated leader board shows Mark McKelvie still in front with an ROI of 1.050 with Trackmaster’s Chatsworth Consortium and Pandy remaining in the second and third slots. Now starting to close in on the top three, Mr. Trifecta is in fourth place, only $41.70 away from the third spot.
