Bonny He’s Watching three-year-old filly Blockjorg notched her second win at Group level and sent her stake earnings over the $100,000 mark when she downed a top field in the Group 3 Dainty’s Daughter Classic at Pinjarra (WA) on Monday (July 13).
Starting from inside the back row, the filly enjoyed a sweet passage throughout and finished brilliantly along the passing lane with a flying 55.6 seconds last 800.
It was her sixth success for the season and took her seasonal earnings to $80,988. Earlier in the season she won the Group 2 $50,000 Diamond Classic at Gloucester Park.
Talented two-year-old Chamonix led in a He’s Watching quinella at Redcliffe last Thursday night (July 9) with He’s Sweet second. It was the gelding’s second win from his last three outings.
Watchful Lady, a three-year-old filly by He’s Watching and one of his first crop, notched her second success in a career-best 1:59.6 at Penrith.
Meanwhile, in North America, He’s Watching’s first two crops continue to take all before them.
The two-year-old colt Saratoga Blue Chip took out a $23,150 division of the Ontario Sires Stakes Grassroot Series in 1:53.6 at its first start at Woodbine Mohawk Park, Canada, while the New Zealand-bred three-year-old filly Hereslookinatyou NZ remains undefeated in two attempts in America following her 1:56.2 winning effort at Saratoga Raceway, New York.
Watch Ave (1:54.8, Georgian Downs) and Panerai (1:59.2, Hiawatha Horse Park) were other recent three-year-old winners by He’s Watching.
He’s Watching (1:46.8), the world champion son of American Ideal, is standing this season at Tipperary Equine, of Luke Primmer, Young (NSW), and is already attracting plenty of attention from breeders.
