The harness racing catalogue for the 2021 edition of the yearling sale that produced four of the first six across the line in the inaugural Woodlands Stud State of Origin Series – the Silver Salver South Australian Yearling Sale – is now available online.
The 2018 sale produced the second, third, fifth and sixth placegetters The Queen Of Heart, Miss Iconic, Mariahs Shadow and Shesherz respectively in the $52,000 State of Origin Series Final – South Australia’s richest race for four-year-old mares.
A quality lineup of 28 lots has been confirmed by local and interstate vendors with the catalogue showcasing stock of Australia’s most sought after stallions including Sweet Lou, Sportswriter, Well Said, A Rocknroll Dance, Roll With Joe, Betterthancheddar, He’s Watching, Sunshine Beach, Shadow Play, Grinfromeartoear, Auckland Reactor and For A Reason.
Emerging, young sires such as Downbytheseaside, Betting Line, Huntsville, Lennytheshark, Goodtime Sammy and Major Secret are also represented.
The sale will be held at the Magic Millions complex, Morphettville on Sunday, March 14, starting at 12 noon.
Gary Newton, the Silver Salver Sale co-ordinator, said: “We are really excited that the leading local breeders have supported the sale with strong numbers. It’s very exciting to see so many first season sires represented.”
