With $14.2 million in financing now secured, Baymount Incorporated will soon start construction on the new Quinte Exhibition and Raceway, which could have its slot and clubhouse facility operational by 2008.

An article posted on the Belleville Intelligencer's website states that Graham Simmonds, chief executive officer and president of Baymount Inc., said he hopes to have the racetrack started by 2009 and the timeline leaves the future of racing in Belleville for the 2008 season in.

"Financing drives the project," Simmonds was quoted as saying. "Now we're in a position where we can communicate the development part of the project."
