The sixth race on Flamboro Downs' Saturday afternoon card of harness racing was declared a 'No Contest' following an accident involving two horses in the first turn.

Leaving from post two, Carsons Cracker fell going into the turn unseating trainer/driver Doug Bowins, who tumbled away from the impending collision. Inside starter After The Fame was following behind and piled over top of the fallen horse, also dumping driver Bob McClure from his sulky.

Both horses were up on their feet immediately after the incident and ran loose with Carsons Cracker turning to run in the opposite direction before wandering into the infield, prompting the rest of the starters to pull up due to safety concerns. The race was declared a 'No Contest' and all pari-mutuel tickets were refunded.

Officials from Flamboro Downs stated via Twitter that both drivers were stiff and sore, but otherwise okay.

McClure returned to the sulky in the following race while Bowins did not have any other drives on the program.

The track was rated 'good' with a one second variant.
