Former harness racing Jewels winner Sky Major is flying out tonight to North America.
Sky Major has won in 1:51.5 and won $800,000 in stakes.
The horse has been staying in Perth for the last seven months with Justin Prentice after former trainer Barry Purdon sent him there to further his already impressive racing career. Unfortunately Sky Major has not been performing up to his true ability while in Australia.
Owner Trevor Casey is sure the horse has been bleeding and will race him on Lasix in North America in the hopes of rejuvenating his racing performances.
Once in North America the horse will be trained there by Duane Marfisi who recently announced that he is returning to Canada with his wife who has landed a top job at a University in Ontario.
Duane has said that apart from Sky Major he will be looking at buying and racing claimers from which you can make a good living if you do it right and he has had some success with that strategy in the past.
Lets hope we can see Sky Major race as well as Bit Of A Legend who has done very well there in recent times.
