SUMMERSIDE, PE - The goal was reached for Soccer Hanover as he romped in the Sunday afternoon harness racing feature at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway.

The Leith Waite owned and trained Soccer Hanover used a first-over brush to secure the lead late in the race and win by eight lengths in 1:56.2 with Corey MacPherson at the helm. Heavy post time favourite Carlisimo had broken equipment at the half-mile marker, and the talented sophomore pacer was pulled up by driver Marc Campbell and failed to finish the race. That gave an opening for Soccer Hanover to steal the show in the $2,700 feature with Heza Workof Art (Driven by Mike McGuigan) finishing second and third going to Mando Fun (Dale Spence).

MacPherson had a trio of victories on the 10-dash card including the $2,200 back-up pace with Confident Fella in 1:59.1 for trainer Ralph Sweet and owners David and John Sweet of O'Leary. MacPherson's other win came in an 11-length sweep with Westward Whim in 1:58.2 for trainer John Clarey of Montague.

David Dowling made three visits to the winner's circle including scored with Woodmere Chella in 1:58.1 for trainer Marvyn Webster, Dancers Pass in 2:00.2 for conditioner Blaine McKenna and with Fern Hill Delight in a maiden breaking score of 2:00.3 for Garth Cole.
