Standupnkissme earned his 35th career victory lap on Sunday at the harness racing meeting at Scarborough Downs.
The win was one of four on the day for driver Kevin Switzer, Jr. and one of six on the weekend for trainer Adrian Wisher, Jr.
Trainer Adrian Wisher, Jr. made an immediate impact upon moving his stable to Scarborough Downs this weekend, winning six races from seven entered to sport a hefty .857 Universal Trainer Rating following his first appearances of the 2015 season in state of Maine competition.
Wisher divvied his wins equally among the Saturday and Sunday cards with a mixture of horses racing fresh off the shelf scattered in with a few campaigners who have recently been battle tested along the mid-Atlantic circuit.
His well conditioned and well classified charges, a hallmark of the approach Wisher traditionally takes toward success on the raceway, also benefited from the services of Maine’s two top drivers from last season. Kevin Switzer, Jr teamed four roster members down victory lane (part of Switzer’s tally of seven winners on the weekend) while Drew Campbell, the meet’s leading driver thus far this season, took victory laps with two.
Live harness racing resumes next weekend at the Downs with a special 2:00 p.m. (EDT) post time on Preakness Saturday while the popular Sunday matinee will go to post at 1:30 p.m.
