Theresademoninme captured the Open Trot at Dover Downs on Tuesday night.

Sadly, Theresademoninme’s part owner, Thomas Lazzaro passed away last week.

Majestic Marvel, the 9-5 race time favorite, left alertly, but had to earn that lead. Home’n Dry’s driver Tyler Davis parked the race favorite past the quarter pole. The fractions were :27.3, :55.4,  1:25.2 and 1:54.4 over a sloppy race track.

Trotting down the backside, it may have been divine intervention as both Majestic Marvel and Home”N Dry went off stride.

Corey Callahan took advantage of the misfortunes, and guided his trotter away from any trouble, then took the lead.

They were able to hold off the late charges of Royal Becca J, who skirted down the inside in the stretch.

Royal Becca J was driven by Jack Parker Jr. and trained by Carol Jamieson Parker and finished 2nd.

Filled Donut and driver Art Stafford Jr. for trainer Eric Ell, applied pressure in the deep stretch and finished third.

Theresademoninme was driven by Corey Callahan for trainer Dylan Davis. The trotter is owned by Taylor, Casalino Jr and the late Dr. Thomas Lazzaro.

Wiggle it Jiggleit and Wakizashi Hanover continue their come back bids on Thursday at Dover Downs.

Post Time is 4:30 pm
