Result of the appeal held before the HRV Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board 
on 19 August 2014. 

Derrick Krafft - Appealed against a 2 week suspension imposed by the stewards under Rule 163(1)(a) at Geelong on 6 August 2014. 

Appeal dismissed.

Harness Racing New South Wales

Harness Racing NSW Stewards on Wednesday opened an inquiry into a report received HRNSW Investigator Mr Bill Beekman that Mr Michael Siejka currently a warned off person was present on the registered property of trainer Ms Ashlee Siejka on Thursday 7 August 2014.

The Stewards also inquired into reports from Stewards Mr Grant Adams, Mr Chris Jasprizza and Cadet Steward Mr Aaron Galway that they witnessed an unidentified male on the registered property of Trainer Ms Ashlee Siejka on Wednesday 6 August 2014.

After taking evidence from Mr Beekman, Mr Adams, Mr Jasprizza, Mr Galway, Mr Michael Siejka, Ms MacKenzie Siejka and Ms Ashlee Siejka the inquiry was adjourned to allow HRNSW to access and review telephone records.


Harness Racing New South Wales

Harness Racing New South Wales (HRNSW) has continued with an investigation that commenced on 8 May 2014 in relation to a disqualified person, Mr Shannon Wonson being on the registered training property of Mr Adam Ruggari.

Evidence was initially taken from Mr Ruggari at the commencement of an inquiry on 16 July 2014 and that inquiry continued on 13 August 2014. Charges were issued against Mr Ruggari pursuant to Australian Harness Racing Rules 187(2) and 230.

The inquiry was adjourned to a date to be set following an application by Mr Ruggari.

Harness Racing New South Wales (HRNSW) commenced an inquiry on Friday 15 August 2014 into results received from the Australian Government National Measurement Institute that cobalt was detected above the threshold in a sample taken from the following horse;

COLIN JOHN following its win in race 7, the Reece Plumbing Pace

The “B” samples and associated control samples where confirmed by ChemCentre in Western Australia.

The inquiry was adjourned to 26 August 2014 for further enquiries to be conducted.
