The 41st annual New Jersey Bred All Breed Horse Show and the New Jersey Equine Expo will be held on Saturday, September 19 at the Horse Park of New Jersey at Stone Tavern in Allentown. Only horses that are New Jersey Bred and are members of their respective breed groups may participate in the All Breed Horse Show.

To be Jersey bred, a horse must be born in New Jersey to a mare that has resided in the state at least 120 consecutive days; a foal resulting from an embryo transfer from a mare who resides in the state 120 cumulative days; and the get of any stallion standing only in New Jersey during the breeding season of the year in which the foal was conceived. Stallions standing in New Jersey must breed only in New Jersey for any yearly breeding season.

The competition will include various disciplines, including English, Western, sport horse, driving, jumping, etc.

The New Jersey Equine Expo will be held simultaneously, giving Boy and Girl Scouts the opportunity to earn some of the criteria for Horse Fan and Horse Rider badges (for Girl Scouts) and Horsemanship and Animal Science (for Boy Scouts). In addition, the scouts will complete many of the components needed to earn their first aid badges.

The Expo also will feature a petting farm, craft table, face painting and more.
