Royal Tribute an impressive looking son of Stunin Cullen has improved on his trials third last week by winning todays 2yo qualifying heat at the Chertsey harness racing trials.
Stunin Cullen had oodles of speed and Royal Tribute looks to have inherited a fair bit of that speed judging by todays win on the Ashburton track.
The colt cruised to an easy one length victory in very hot conditions for driver Ricky May.
Royal Tribute ran the 1609m journey in 2-02.5 with a fast final 800 metres in an impressive 56.5 seconds with a closing 400m in 26.6 seconds.
He is trained by Paul Court and owned by his father Graham who stands Stunin Cullen at Pinlea Farm Stud.
