WASHINGTON, PA, Aug. 20, 2019 — Suddenly Royal stalked Lakeisha Hall from the pocket, then blew by her in the Lightning Lane to capture Tuesday's feature at The Meadows, a $13,500 Filly & Mare Conditioned Pace.
Suddenly Royal sprang to the early lead and stretched out Lakeisha Hall to a swift 26.2 quarter before yielding. When Jim Pantaleano angled Suddenly Royal to the Lightning Lane, she had plenty in the tank and downed Lakeisha Hall in 1:51.4. Caviart Scarlett completed the ticket.
Christen Pantaleano trains the 4-year-old daughter of Dragon Again-Resilient for A Piece Of The Action LLC.
Live racing at The Meadows resumes Wednesday, when the program features a pair of events for 3-year-old colt and gelding trotters — a $167,002 Pennsylvania Sires Stake and a $40,000 PA Stallion Series stake. First post is 1:05 PM.
