Fast times were the order of the day at the Warragul harness racing meeting on Monday afternoon (29th April).

Longwarry Pacer Atomic Horizon scored a well earned win in the fourth event for trainer Michael Hughes.

Driven by Greg Sugars, who steered five winners at the Melton meeting the previous Friday night, Atomic Horizon led into the straight and kicked clear to hold off its rivals as a 5/1 chance.

Sugars had earlier driven Luv The Aces Lombo to a narrow victory in the Claiming Pace.

Somers horseman Trevor Reid produced Pumpitup for a victory in the fifth event, his mares first success in just over twelve months.

Like several winners on the day, Pumpitup went to the front and was able to run the race to suit and hold on for a victory.

Inclinator defied the leaders trend however and came from back in the field with a sweeping run to win at big odds.

Trained at Croydon by Danielle Lewis, a graduate of the Gippsland Harness Training Centre, Inclinator was driven on Monday by Simone Walker, and won at odds of 40/1 on the TAB.

Walker later teamed up with her father Bill to win the sixth race with Brutus Smith in all the way fashion.

Classic Falcon grabbed a last stride win in race seven, nabbing race leader Captain Scott which set a slow tempo in the lead.

The victory of Classic Falcon as a $19 chance helped produce a Quadrella dividend of $7130.50.

After two narrow misses earlier in the day, leading horseman Chris Alford landed a winning drive in the last with Now And Forever.

This capped off a busy few days for Alford, who drove in New Zealand on Friday night, Brisbane on Saturday night and Sydney on Sunday afternoon before returning for several drives at Warragul.

acing returns to Warragul on Monday, May 27.
