WASHINGTON, PA, Nov. 11, 2020 -- Summer Charm knifed through the sloppy Lightning Lane to capture Wednesday's harness racing feature at The Meadows, a $12,000 Filly & Mare Conditioned Pace.

Sent off the 7-5 second choice, Summer Charm zipped to the early lead for Tony Hall but released Sansovina Hanover at the quarter in favor of the pocket. That decision paid off late as Summer Charm had pace aplenty to defeat the first-over Diamondtequilashot by a length in 1:51.4. Sansovina Hanover saved show.

Scott Betts trains Summer Charm, a 4-year-old daughter of Bettor's Delight-Lover Of Art who now boasts career earnings of $360,150, for Tim Betts, Nick Catalano, Keith Pippi and Brookside Stables.

Hall collected four wins and Dave Palone three on the 13-race card.

Live racing at The Meadows continues with a special Thursday card, first post 12:45 PM.
