Waiting On A Woman (Northern Bailey) went wire to wire in Sunday afternoon's Open Trot at Saratoga Casino and Raceway. After winning both of his local starts last year for his new harness racing connections, Waiting On A Woman started out his 2015 campaign with a third place finish last week.
On Sunday afternoon, the seven year old Margaret Spagnola trainee would not be denied, scoring a front running win in 1:57.4 with Frank Coppola Jr in the sulky. Dismissed at odds of 6-1, Waiting On A Woman moved his career earnings to over the $300,000 mark with his victory in the $18,000 feature.
Last year's Trotter of the Year Slugfest (Jay Randall) finished second while invader Pine Credit (Marcus Miller) earned the show spot.
Waiting On A Woman returned $14.60 and led an exacta that returned $51.50 and trifecta that came back $248.
Live racing resumes on Thursday afternoon with a first post time of 4:00pm.
