October 17, 2016 - Today’s €54,000 Prix de Gobelins (2150 meters autostart, 16 European starters) Quinte+ event went to 5.4/1 Super Ariel (7f Super Arnie-Qrika Lep) clocked in 1.12kr. Harness racing driver Mathieu Avrivard reined the winner that is owned by Stall Torpet HB of Sweden.

16/1 Radieux (6g Love You-Dordogne) was second for Pierre Vercruysse and owner/trainer Lutfi Kolgjini, ahead of 5.3/1 Opitergium (8m Pine Chip-Jovelinotte) handled for trainer Robert Bergh by Dominik Locqueneux. Stall Courant AB owns Opitergium. 11/1 Xea Venus (8f Charmy Skeeter-Xea Lobell) was fourth for Bjorn Goop and fifth was 13/1 African with Franck Nivard up.

The Enghien program also included the Prix du Pont Mirabeau (purse €32,000, 14 two year-olds, 2150 meters autostart) and 5.7/1 Elevation (2f Sam Bourbon-Quick Scarlet) was victorious for driver J-M Bazire, trainer Fabrice Souloy and breeder/owner Ecurie de Tremont.

Timed in 1.17.4kr the winner was victorious in her first start in defeat of 56/1 Eclipse du Poret (2f Oinous Madril-Une Pluie du Poret) for A.A. Barassin, the owner/trainer/driver. 9/1 Elsa du Pommereux (2f Coktail Jet-Salsa su Pommereux) took third for Franck Nivard and trainer Sylvain Roger
