D'One won the Swedish Oaks at Solvalla

Sunday's Swedish Trotting Oaks (Gr. I National) went to 3/10 favorite D’One (3f Donato Hanover-Giant Diablo) for Orjan Kihlstrom and trainer Roger Walmann.

The well-bred filly covered the 2140 meter autostart course at Solvalla in 1.13.59kr for owner Stall Kennys Andelshast to closely defeat Mellby Briolett  (3f Going Kronos-Merit Lane) with Johan Untersteiner aboard (timed in 1.13.64) also for trainer Walmann. Our Precious (3f Pearsall Hanover-Nova Brodda) ended third. Purse was 319,200 euro.

The Grand Prix l’UET (Gr. I International, purse 400,107 euro, distance 2140 meters autostart) at Solvalla went to favored 1.9/1 Mosaique Face (4m Classic Photo-Iona LB)) with Lutfi Kolgjini up. The Tommy Nilsson Holding AB owned horse was timed in a quick 1.10.79 (new Swedish record and also a new world record) in the start to finish score. Mosaique Face was clocked in the fast 1.09.4kr/500 meters and continued in a high and even pace, 1.11.9kr/1000 meters and 1.11.5kr 1500 meters. Rapidly closing Thai Broadway (4m Broadway Hall-Isabella Knick) was second (for owner Stall Grossere and trainer Tommy Anderssen) beaten less than a length for Gunnar Austevoll. Vaux le Vicompte ended third for J-M Bazire.

Ulf Ohlsson won the featured Swedish Kriterium (Gr I National, purse 456,000 euro, distance 2640 meters autostart) with Rokkakudo (3m Varenne-Ikebana ) for owner  Anna Forssel AB and trainer Anna Forsell. Attack Diablo (3m Blue York Yankee-Chanson d’Inverne) was second for Peter Ingves with Final Oak (3m Make It Happen-Cara Bobs Crown) third with Erik Adielsson at the lines. Time for the winner was 1.13.5kr.

TheSolvallaserien VII (four year-old mares) was also contested at Solvalla today (2140 meters autostart, 150,000SEK to winner). Per Lindroth piloted Blended Scotch (4f Super Photo Kosmos-Hopscotch-Zoot Suit) to a close 1.12.3kr win over the imported KYSS winner Gisela As (4f Infinitif-Golden Door Lindy-Cambest) with Ake Svanstedt up. Delicious, also a US import, was third for Daniel Reden.
