Swedishman continues to impress as Franck Nivard teamed the 8 -year-old gelded son of Gogo-Volgana to an easy win in today’s 37th edition of the Gran Prix du Sud-Ouest at Bordeaux Le Bouscat.

The Thierry Duvaldestin student recorded his 26th career win, now for earnings of €891,330.

The event was a 2015 UET Master Series contest for a €200,000 purse over the 2550 meter autostart course.

Timed in 1.14.2kr, the 2/1 favorite winner made a decisive three-wide move around the final turn (left handed direction) to easily put away leader Timoko and trainer Richard Westerink (faded to sixth).

Roi du Lupin (9g Fleuron Perrine-Helia de Saint Pol) was forwardly placed throughout and ended second for Anthony Barrier and trainer/owner J-P Marmion. Kadett CD (7m Scarlet Knight-Kiss Of Life) was third for Dominik Locqueneux and trainer Robert Bergh with Ru de L’Airou (by Cygnus d’Odyssee) and Pascia’Lest (by Varenne) fourth and fifth.
