March 5, 2015 – Thierry Duvaldestin reined his trainee Swedishman (9g Gogo – Volgana – Myoto Barbes) to victory Thursday in the Prix de Parigny (€40,000, 18 starters, 2450 meters distance handicap) at Caen as he overcame a 25 meter handicap to score in 1.13.2kr.
The 1.4/1 favorite recorded his first 2015 victory in his first appearance after ending 2014 with three straight win in Gr. II and Gr. III events.
The winner recorded victory 27 for career earnings of €905,330 for owner Gaylor Chaudemanche.
Sire de la Creuse was second for trainer/driver Jean-Francois Senet over third placed Urse Major at 23/1 for teamster Francois Lecanu and trainer Stephane Provoost.
Swedishman is worth watching during summer 2015 in fast class events that allow geldings.
