The Saturday night harness racing program at Running Aces featured the $9,600 Minnesota-Sired 3 year old Pace, and Swinging Again ($9.00) posted another impressive victory for two in a row and 4 seasonal wins after her 1 length tally in 1:55.2 tonight. This sharp filly is by Voracious Hanover and is trained by Gene Miller for owners Wolfswinkel Pacers and she has been handled by Driver James Yoder on a regular basis, tonight Swinging Again was parked the entire mile from post 7, but had plenty of pace in the homestretch to power past the favored gelding pacer Wonder Bull (Nick Roland) who was forced to settle for second once again.
Santanna Sam ($48.60) and Driver William Hernandez posted a razor sharp gate-to-wire score as the longest shots on the board for the second consecutive start tonight, in a $5,400 conditioned pace. Sanatanna Sam was never in doubt tonight from post one and collected his 3rd win of the season in 1:56.1 with ease despite being dismissed by the wagering public. The 4 year old gelding by Santanna Blue Chip is also trained by Hernandez for owner Maria Alvarez.
Al Mar Reba Babe ($5.20) picked up top honors in the featured Trot on the card, a $6,400 conditioned event. Winning driver Gerald Longo settled his 5 year old mare by Sos Lunar
Eclipse away in 4th from post 6 and waited patiently, saving ground all the way around the track and storming through the passing lane to get the money at the wire by 3/4 of a length in 1:59 for her second win of the season. She is owned and trained by Richard Davis.
The .20 cent Jackpot Pick 5 went unsolved on Saturday, and now sports a carryover of $10,335.23 for the Sunday (July 16) card, with a first post of 6 pm CDT.
