Tony Morgan drove the winners of both divisions of the Berwyn Pacing Series on Wednesday night (August 17).
His recently-claimed Slim Shady Lady was a handy winner in the night’s closing event.
Slim Shady Lady, starting from the rail, took the lead immediately and never looked back. Making her first start for trainer James Scholz and the Tony Morgan Stable, this 3-Year-Old filly won for the fifth time from 11 starts this year.
She paced the mile in 1.55.2 after fractions of 27.4 seconds, 56.4s, and 1.27.1 and paid $4.80 for the score.
With these two talented pacers likely to meet in the Berwyn Series Final next Friday, Morgan could face a dilemma.
Which of these pacers has the best chance to win and take home the major share of that estimated $15,000 purse?
He could be faced with an interesting decision.
By the way, with Slim Shady Lady’s win, Morgan scored his fifth win of the evening.
