TASMANIAN harness racing trainer-driver James Rattray is confident his stable star Beautide can end his season on a high by winning the $100,000 Len Smith Mile at Menangle on Sunday afternoon.

Beautide joined an elite group when he snared the Miracle Mile-Inter Dominion double this season and after a week off after his Inter win he returned to the track to score a solid win at Menangle as his final lead-up to the Len Smith Mile.

Rattray is pleased with his stable star's condition going into Sunday's assignment and win lose or draw the gelding will be dispatched to the spelling paddock for a six-week break.

Listen to what James Rattray had to say about Beautide's chances on Sunday and what is in store for the brilliant five-year-old.
