Tim Tetrick celebrated a three-win performance at Pocono Downs on Friday afternoon, and in doing so he bumped his yearly win total to 1,002 and became just the third driver in harness racing history to reach that number in a single season.

Tetrick, who entered the program with 999 victories, rolled his total to 1,000 thanks to a 1:54.4 score behind Blow Em Away in the fourth race. He tacked on two more victories with Matties Shady (1:55) and Miss Color Chip (1:56.3) in Races 8 and 9.

Tetrick will continue his quest to surpass Walter Case Jr.'s single season win record. Case made 1,077 trips to victory lane in the 1998 season.

Tony Morgan is the only other driver to hit the 1,000 win mark in a single season. He celebrated 1,004 wins in 2006.

Tim Tetrick became the all-time money-winning driver in a single season on Tuesday at Dover Downs thanks to a five-win performance.

Tetrick broke the former record of $15,088,714 set by Brian Sears in 2005.
