The barrier draw for the Del-Re National Food Group Hunter Cup was conducted Tuesday and as has become customary for the country's leading races, the marbles have added further intrigue to an exciting race.

The defending champion Mah Sish has drawn the polemark for the standing start 3200-metre war of attrition while local favourites Bitobliss and Smoken Up have drawn three and four respectively.

The Kiwi contingent makes up much of the rest of the front line with Pembrook Benny stepping from two, Franco Nelson from five and Easy On The Eye from the outside barrier.

Abettorpunt will rely on a clean getaway from barrier six as the only other horses off the front.

Under the Free For All conditions a number of the races key chances will begin from the second line not least of which is last weekend's Ballarat Cup trifecta in Restrepo (nine), Christen Me (11) and Caribbean Blaster (12).

Keayang Cullen (eight) and Motu Crusader (10) make up those in the draw while The Gold Ace (13) and Im Corzin Terror (14) came into the race as ODS and must do it the tough way from the outside of the second line.
