Last week at the Hippodrome 3R, Show Business put on a really big show as part of the Quebec Eastern Regional Driving Championship as he nearly blew up the tote board when he upset the field at odds of 97-1.

The nine-year-old mare by Mach Three was driven for the first time by Sylvain Lacaille and he responded by being able to sneak right up the passing lane as the rest of the field fanned wide for the stretch finish and go on to post a three-quarter length triumph in 1:58.3.

It was a lifetime mark for Show Business as she paid a season leading $197.40 to win for trainer and regular driver Andre Champagne. Show Business is owned by Jean Barrette of Trios- Riviere, QC.

The major obstacle in the race for Show Business is her starting position, the far outside in post nine. She was able to overcome post eight last week in scoring her first win of the season in four starts. Show Business is listed at odds of 6-1, a far cry from last week’s 97-1.

Hopefully Show Business will be a smashing hit once again Tuesday and maybe bring down the house with another big payoff. Show Business is one of only three females in the race against six male rivals.

Second choice in the race at odds of 5/2 is the three-year-old filly, Thrill Chaser, from post two for driver/trainer and owner Marie Claude Auger. Third choice is Did It Again from post eight for driver Francis Picard. A strong leaver in his last two starts, two back Did It Again was able to wire the field at 3R by nearly two lengths in 1:58.3.

Post time Tuesday is 7:00 pm. For more information visit
