Lear Jetta waited until past the half to launch his first-over bid, rolled up along side the leader at three-quarters, dispatched him at the top of the stretch and rolled home as much the best in here.

Yankee Matthew gapped the winner’s cover on turn two, found his best stride late, and closed with a flourish to just nail the place.

Intimidator inherited the two hole from a backside breaker, tracked the leader to the lane, angled off the cones, was clear early but didn’t have enough to threaten the winner.

Di Manggio was unhurried on the lead past the half, tried to rebuff the eventual winner’s grinding third-quarter move, but could not stall him in the lane.

Little Moon Lake sat a three-hole trip through turn two, and was clear with only even pace through the lane.

Make It Happen tried to enter the flow third-over, couldn’t keep up and ducked back in along the cones, and showed little.

Closer Hanover broke stride while sitting a pocket trip at three-eighths.

Fractions: 29-1/5 1.00 1.30-4/5 1.58-3/5

Lear Jetta is owned by James S. McAuliffe of Sarasota, FL, trained by Robert Myers and driven by Tim Tetrick.
