Trafalgar horsemen Glenn Hunter produced a driving treble at the Yarra Valley trots meeting on Monday afternoon.

The underrated Hunter steered Village Cruiser to win the first race for his father Chris, who trains the two-year-old. Bred and raced by Peter Ransom and Rowan Blackshaw, Village Cruiser came from centre field to score.

In the third race, Glenn drove Mor Laag which swept down the outside to gain a narrow victory at its second run back from a spell.

Trained at Iona in West Gippsland by Des Kelly, Mor Laag was having its twentieth start on Monday, when winning its first start.

The Kelly family has been associated with many good horses over the years, such as Infield, Kelly Boy and Kelly Kid.

Glenn's treble was achieved with Sals Mo which ran favourite in the sixth event, leading throughout.

He will be in action again locally at the next Warragul meeting this Monday, August 26.
