DOVER, Del--- Fast-finishing Nova Artist, an impressive come-from-behind winner last week, is the one to beat in this week's $27,500 Delaware Special pace. Two $15,000 Male paces top a strong undercard on Thursday, Nov. 14. Post time is 4:30 p.m.

Two seasons back, Eddie and Kathy Davis' Nova Artist was voted Horse of the Meet by the DelVal USHWA members. Last meet, the Real Artist pacer finished second in the balloting. The 29-time career winner began the track's 2013-2014 season closing from sixth place at the three-quarters to catch trainer Pete Tritton's front-pacing Malak Uswaad N and Tim Tetrick to win by a neck in 1:51.2.

These two will take on Toby Lynch's Sunshine Superman, driven by Jason Lynch, who cut out the quick fraction last week before wilting in a :28.3 final panel to finish third at 104.50-1 odds. Ross Wolfenden will drive Arty Foster's Eagle All from the rail with Max Walton and Greg Papaleo's Mustang Art and Ron Pierce leaving alongside. Its All Good, piloted by Vic Kirby, completes the select field of six starters.

In one of the $15,000 Male Winners-Over Handicap paces, both Adventure Bound (Ron Pierce) racing for Ken Wood, Bill Dittmar and Steve Iaquinta, and KDM Stables Valentino (Matt Kakaley) were front-end winners last Monday and in the other $15,000 pace for 3,4&5-Year-Olds, four of the nine contestants won last start; Irwin Samelman's Handsome Henry K (Frank Milby), Joshua Parker's Wahine (Jim Morand), Steve Iaquinta and Bill Dittmar's Jeremes General (Allan Davis) and newcomer JL Benson Stables' Mr. Dennis (Matt Kakaley).

Monday through Thursday post time is 4:30 p.m. Sunday racing begins at 5:30 p.m. There is no live racing on Fridays and Saturdays.
