Adventure Bound heads $30,000 Open Pace at Dover
Believe This Bob goes in the $27,500 Delaware Special

DOVER, Del--- A $30,000 Preferred/Handicap, a $27,500 Delaware Special and an $18,000 Open pace headline the Thursday, Jan. 2 powerhouse card at Dover Downs. Post time is 4:30 p.m.

Four of the six starters in the $30,000 headliner return this week from the last Thursday feature pace. Eddie and Kathy Davis' Nova Artist, driven to a third-place finish losing by a neck with Allan Davis in the bike takes on sharp Ken Wood, Bill Dittmar and Steve Iaquinta's Adventure Bound reined by Ron Pierce, Harry von Knoblauch's Texican N, driven by Ross Wolfenden, KDM Stable's Bullet Speed with Matt Kakaley. Returning from a quick trip to a Yonkers feature, Escape The News will be handled by meet leading driver Corey Callahan for owners Howard Taylor, JJK Stable, Weave Bruscemi and Burke Racing. Making his first local start is VIP Internet and Baron Racing's E Z Noah with Vic Kirby leaving from the rail.

The $27,500 Delaware Special is a wide-open affair. Two starters Kovach Stable's Feel Like A Fool (George Dennis) and Bobby Glassmeyer's Democracy N (Jonathan Roberts) step up in class after scoring wins last time out. Legacy Racing and Reg Hazzard's Papa Ray (Matt Kakaley), Max Walton and Greg Papaleo's Mustang Art (Ron Pierce) and Its That Time (Eddie Davis Jr.) drop down from the Preferred ranks.

The other performers are Mary Ann Larrimore's Believe This Bob (Montrell Teague) who is in rare form, Peter Tritton's Malak Uswaad N (Ross Wolfenden) making his first start since early in the meet, and Toby Lynch owned, trained and driven Sunshine Superman.

Nine start in the $18,000 4&5-Year-Old Open led by Charlie Dombeck, David Bier and trainer-driver Daryl Bier's Bandolito, J.L. Benson's Mr. Dennis (Matt Kakaley) and Robin and Jay Breasure's People Are Crazy (Ron Pierce).

Earlier in the high powered 15-race card, Logamotion (Corey Callahan) brings a five-race win streak into a $13,000 4&5-Year-Old pace.
