Nova Artist heads the Open Pace at Dover Thursday

DOVER, Del--- Nova Artist, who won last week's $30,000 Preferred pace goes head and head with the tough Dynamic Youth to top an outstanding Thursday card at Dover Downs on Jan. 16. Post time is 4:30 p.m.

Eddie and Kathy Davis' Nova Artist, already a four-time feature race winner this meet, with Allan Davis driving takes on one of last season's standout free-for-all pacers, Dynamic Youth, who is owned by J&T Silva, K.R. Tucci, and C&G Racing stables and will be driven by Vic Kirtby plus Ken Wood, Bill Dittmar and Steve Iaquinta's sharp pacer Adventure Bound is in the field and will be piloted by Ron Pierce.

Harry von Knoblauch's Texican N who this event two starts back leaves from the rail with Ross Wolfenden in the bike; VIP Internet and Baron Racing's E Z Noah with Vic Kirby is alongside. JLRL's Rock On Moe, handled by George Dennis, returns from out-of-town races to complete the select field.

Starters in post positions 1,2 and 3 are fresh from wins last time out in the $27,000 Delaware Special. Heavenly Way's Jeremy's Successor (Pierce), Owner, trainer, driver Toby Lynch' Sunshine Superman and Max Walton and Greg Papaleo's Mustang Art (Trace Tetrick) meet a strong cast of opposition.

The rest of the field is made up by Kovach Stable's Feel Like A Fool (George Dennis), Brit Evans and Foulk Stable's Full Of Sand (Corey Callahan) Legacy Racing and Reg Hazzard's Papa Ray (Matt Kakaley), Bobby Glassmeyer's Democracy N (Jonathan Roberts) and David King and E&K Stable's Its That Time (Eddie Davis Jr.).

Wood, Dittmar and Iaquinta's Beavercreek Artist (Pierce), Ron Dixon's Ken Kam, both winners last start, and Summer Camp (Chris Page), racing for Baron Racing and VIP Internet stables, lead the 20,000 Male Winners-Over pace while Baron and VIP's All Stienam (Kirby) drew the rail in the $17,500 4&5-Year-Old Open,
