Three divisions of New York Sire Stakes (NYSS) for 2-year-old harness racing pacing fillies come to Tioga Downs on Sunday (July 15).
In the first division ($35,866), Crazy Cute (Art Major-Crazy Luv Bug) is the morning line favorite at 2-1. She is driven by Jim Morrill Jr. for trainer Mark Harder and owner Joseph Jannuzzelli. She has two seconds in her two lifetime starts including a runner-up finish during a leg of the NYSS ($54,000) at Yonkers Raceway (July 6).
The second morning line choice at 5-2 is Prescient Beauty (Art Major-Precious Beauty). Owned by James Avritt Sr., driven by Doug McNair and trained by Gregg McNair, she is one for one in her career with a impressive win at Woodbine Standardbred at Mohawk (July 2).
The second division ($36,566) morning line favorite at 5-2 is JK American Beauty (American Ideal-JK Black Beauty). Driven by Yannick Gingras for owner 3 Brothers Stables and trainer Nancy Johansson, her best finish was a second in a leg of the NYSS ($54,000)at Yonkers Raceway (July 6).
The second choice at 3-1 is Meghan Lynn (American Ideal-Ladyotra). Daniel Dube takes over the driving duties for owner Crawford Farms Racing and trainer Chris Oakes. She won a leg of the NYSS ($52,500) at Buffalo Raceway (June 20). She was third behind runner-up JK American Beauty at Yonkers Raceway (July 6).
The third division of the NYSS ($36,566) for freshman pacing fillies, features 2-1 morning line favorite, the Ron Burke trained St Somewhere (American Ideal-Somstreetsomwhere). In her second lifetime start she won a leg of the NYSS ($54,000) at Yonkers Raceway (July 6). Yannick Gingras drives for owners Burke Racing Stable and P. Collura, J&T Ailva -Purnell Libby with Weaver Bruscemi.
So Awesome (So Surreal-Teddy Ballgirl) is the second choice in the third division at 5-2. Tim Tetrick drives for trainer Scott Di Domenico and owner William Hartt. She also won a leg of the NYSS ($54,000) at Yonkers Raceway (July 6).
