On a beautiful day in Budapest the Kincsem Park card showcased two major harness racing events of the 2015 trotting season.
The Nemzeti DIJ (purse 2,000,000Huf, 1960 meters distance handicap, three and four year-olds National) went to Tonnyo (3m Incredible Cole-Intelligent Star-Oaklea Bluejay) at 3.5/1 odds clocked in 1.19.4kr for reinsman Laszlo Kolozsi, also trainer for owner Kulik Farm Kft. The winner traveled 1960 meters to defeat 2000 meterpenalized Salihamidzio (4m Wall Street Banker-Heliko-Awesome Goal) driven by Mitja Slavic for trainer Lajor Marten and owner Amma Kft. Tornado Cole (3m Incredible Cole-Baby Yankee-Yankee Class) was third also owned by Kulik Farm and driven by Sandor Turbucz for conditioner Laszlo Kolozsi.
The Faust DIJ (1,000,000Huf purse, 1800 meters autostart) for open trotters went to 3.9/1 Romi Mms (5f Turbo Sund-Goldy LB-Self Possessed) driven by trainer Mitja Slavic for owner Equine Ms. Timed in a sharp 1.14.1kr the winner took over from tiring pacesetter and favorite Lambert Sas and drew off to a six length score. Reste Premier (10g Laetenter Diem-Certitude Bertirs) was second for Istvan Papp at 14/1 over 15/1 Odile Grif (7f Love You-Clivia LB-Baltic Speed) with Antonio Finetti in the bike.

The next Friday evening racing and entertainment festival is May 22 when the trots, gallop and greyhounds will go postward. Two weeks ago the initial Friday action drew a large youthful audience.
