Concorde Lombo, Misty Maiden and Lombo Rapida, a trio of Australia's most decorated harness racing mares, will go up for auction at the Concorde Park Reduction Sale to be held at Concorde Park stud, Congupna, near Shepparton, on Sunday (July 4).

The former Australian 3YO of the Year, Concorde Lombo has left six winners so far including the sub 2:00 Moonee Valley winners Cullombo and Lombo Alliance.

Misty Maiden and Concorde Lombo carry positive tests to leading two and three-year-old sire Modern Art.

Lombo Rapida, who was voted 3YO Filly of the Year, has left two sub 2:00 winners in Gloria Lombo and Lombo Socialite and two placegetters from her first four foals. She has been served by the highly-rated American import Stonebridge Regal.

In all, 68 broodmares will go under the hammer starting at 1pm.

There's daughters of many of Australasia's leading sires and broodmare sires including the likes of Fake Left, Troublemaker, Classic Garry, Windshield Wiper, Safely Kept, Soky's Atom, Village Jasper, Perfect Art and Walton Hanover.

Thirteen of the mares are in-foal to the world champion and double millionaire Four Starzzz Shark, 11 carry positive tests to Meadowlands Pace winner Artistic Fella, 10 to Stonebridge Regal, six to Blissfull Hall and five each to Modern Art and Ponder.

A feature of the weanling section will be the first crop of the 2006 Horse of the Year and 2YO and 3YO of the Year Lombo Pocket Watch.
