Saturday’s trotting excellence continued at Paris-Vincennes with three groupe contests and a quality harness racing undercard.

The featured Prix Guillaume de Bellaigue, a Gr. III event for monte specialists over 2700 meters, saw a field of ten vying for the €120,000 purse. 30/1 Tornado Bello (9m Jag de Bellouet-Enfilade) recorded a narrow rallying victory for Camille Levesque timed in 1.12.8kr. The Thomas Levesque trainee bested 3/10 favorite Scarlet Turgot (10f Dahir de Prelong-Noella de Massy) with Alexandre Abrivard in the irons. This gallant mare is trained by Yannick Alain Briand for Mme. Th. Hoste, the owner. 22/1 Tornade du Digeon (9f Jag de Bellouet-Herlane du Terme) garnered the third spot for Eric Raffin and trainer J-M Bazire.

The opener for monte practitioners was the Prix de Rennes (purse €45,000, 2700 meters, 15 European starters) and 17/1 More Caviar (6m Mr. Pine Chip-More Impulse) earned the win for P-Y Verna, trainer Arnold J. Mollema and Draviet Stable of Holland. 20/1 Urzo du Cap Vert (8g Sancho Panca-Jalna Grandchamp) was second for trainer/jockey J.L.Cl. Dersoir with 29/1 Ubac (8g Lynx de Bellouet-Kazaria du Val) third on the pegs for Franck Nivard.

The Q+ this day was the Prix Jean Gabin (purse €64,000, 2850 meters, 18 starters) and 1.4/1 favorite Unbridled Charm (8m Password-Intense Action) prevailed with the 1.13.5kr score driven by Jean-Philippe Dubois for trainer Philippe Moulin and Ecurie Victoria Dreams. 6/1 Veritable Crack (7g Little Crack-Vavale Somolli) was second for Christophe Martens ahead of 74/1 Team Job (9g Buvetier d’Aunou-Just Love-Coktail Jet) for teamster Pierre Vercruysse, 16/1 Ulf du Noyer and 32/1 Venus de Bailly were next across the line.

Uza Josselyn (5m L’As de Viretaute-Hada), the 3/5 favorite with trainer J-M Bazire driving, took the Gr. III Prix du Perreux (purse €80,000, 2700 meters, 15 starters). Timed in 1.12.4kr Uza Josselyn is owned by Yvan Bernard and scored by a length. 33/1 Styaro Haly (5m Make It Happen-Irene Bi) took second for Christophe Martens with 7/1 El Catwalk (5f Classic Photo-El Mistress Leena) third for Franck Nivard and trainer Fabrice Souloy. The fourth and fifth finishers were 5/1 Montdore (6m Love You-Self Made Woman) driven by Dominik Locqueneux for trainer Robert Bergh and 14/1 Geisha Sund (6f Love You-Kanadia) for driver Tony LeBeller and trainer Bergh.

The Gr. II Prix du Gatinais (purse €85,000, 2700 meters, 12 starters) went to the 7/10 odds favorite, 1.13.3kr clocked, Viking Va Bene (6m Rite On Line-Itiana du Mont) with Franck Nivard driving. This Fabrice Souloy trainee defeated stablemate Indigious (7m Prodigious-Indication) and Eric Raffin, this one off at 7.1/ 83/1 outsider Seduisant Fonteau (10m Gazouillis-Elisalde) was third for Ch. Dreux.
