Sebastopol harness racing owner/trainer/driver Tina Ridis' 7-Y-0 Classic Adam/Denver Jane mare Town Player keeps on getting better and better as the season progresses and chalked up her fourth win in succession with a dominant front running display to take the Spencer Accountants Trotters Handicap for T3 or better class over 2710 metres at her home track Bray Raceway Ballarat on Wednesday November 2.

Taking a mares concession, Town Player began brilliantly from barrier four to lead, bowling along at her leisure.

Turning with a handy margin, Town Player showed no signs of stopping and cruised to the post 4.7 metres in advance of Avid which raced outside her in a rate of 2-07.6, with Country Cop third after trailing the winner.

Kyneton’s Tony Xiriha who now trains out of a Riddell property, landed the Peter McErvale Real Estate Claiming Pace for C0 to C6 class over 2200 metres with tough 10-Y-0 Sokys Atom/Dark Delight gelding The Urban Legend which had been racing better than its figure form suggested.

Driven by Korweinguboora based Jaime-Lee King, The Urban Legend from outside the front row was taken back off the gate to settle at the tail of the field, with the last start Melton winner Awesome Alto leading from gate three.

Sent forward to park in the open at the bell, The Urban Legend ouystayed his rivals in a slugging finish to score from Wetlands (three wide last lap) and Threes A Cloud in a rate of 2-01.5 and in doing so, recorded his first victory since November 2009.

Romsey trainer Leigh Miles snared the Dimension Homes Pace for C1 class over 2200 metres with ever reliable 5-Y-0 Life Sign/Mother Courage mare Kattrin in a rate of 2-00.8.

Driven by Greg Sugars, Kattrin led throughout from the pole in defeating Chris Alford’s Jedi Superstar which trailed, easing to the outside on turning to fail by a half head in a tricky finish, with Rodger Vance (one/one) and Bio Gold (last at the bell) dead-heating for third.

It was Kattrin’s 6th success in 38 outings.

On what was a great night for the Macedon Ranges area, Bolinda’s Kari & Paul Males were successful with 5-Y-0 Blissful Hall/Adversity mare Shes Irresistible in The Haymarket Pace for C1 class over 2200 metres.

Raced by a syndicate of staunch stable supporters headed by Rob Auber, Shes Irresistible driven by Daryl Douglas led for the majority of the trip from gate three in easily accounting for Tomorrowsanotherday and Broadway Classic in a rate of 2-02.6.
