Two track record holders, Margarita Bi and Decret Justiciale, will face off in Tuesday evenings feature trot at the Hippodrome 3R.

The ninth race main event has nine starters and headlining the field is Margarita Bi.

The five-year-old mare by Andover Hall starts from post five for driver Denis St Pierre and boasts five wins already this year, the fastest a track record 1:57.2 set on June 17.

Margarita Bi is the 5/2 morning line favorite and has been first, second and third in her last three starts against the best trotters in the area. She is one of four mares in the field.

Decret Justiciale is the 7/2 second choice in the race and rightly so. He has been awesome this season with five wins in just eight starts for trainer/driver Denis Filion.

In his last start at Rideau Carlton, Decret Justiciale came from off the pace and scored a 1:57.4 triumph. The five-year-old gelded son of Justice Hall has lost only once in his five starts at 3R. As a three-year-old in 2012 he set the track record with a 1:59.4 triumph.

Decret Justiciale will have his work cut out for him as he is not a leaver yet drew the outside post eight in the top trot.

Other contenders in the field include Erge Baboche (post 4), who two starts back was able to defeat Margarita Bi; return winner Easy Virtue (post 2) and Bel Gazou (post three).
