Thereafter, Rionero (11 - Alain Laurent) led beforerelinquishing to make way for, among others, Trophy Jaba (13 - Jean-Michel Bazire) installed as the favorite. The latter weakened and alongside ranged Sablon Cesny (2 - Loïc Desire Abrivard). Behind them, assaults were launched, starting with Sovereign d’Aimte (9 - Eric Audebert).
Tiburce de Brion finally escaped traffic and, with Matthew Abrivard, won outright. This seven year-old gelded son of Ganymede is a lion on the grass, having been eight times in the top four on that surface.
