The 12th leg of the Trophee Vert series was the Grand Prix Super U held at Brehol in France and raced for a 40,000€ purse over 3400 meters distance handicap.
The 6/10 favorite and 25-meter penalized Duel du Gers (7g Quaker Jet-Le Chasse Verte) was the winner for trainer/driver Matthieu Abrivard and owner J.M. Rancoule. This was Duel’s 15th career victory, third in a row, and advanced his life earnings to 308,210€. Race time was not recorded.
The 18/1 odds and 25-meter handicapped Canular (8g Jet Fortuna) was second for driver/trainer Didier Brohier and 26/1 and 25 meter penalized Astor de Rozoy took third for Luc Jean Legros. Clarck Sotho was a 50-meter handicapped fourth and Diango des Charmes was fifth.
The next Trophee Vert test on the turf is August 23 at Montier en Doer. A large crowd watched the day’s trotting action.

On the European front, on August 5th at Mantorp, the Kjell P. Dalhstroms Minne (29,829€ total purse, 2140 meters autostart) the 1.11.5kr timed victory went to 1.7/1 Missle Hill (5m Muscle Hill-India Hill) for the Orjan Kihlstrom/Daniel Reden/Stall Zet team. A length back second was 5.7/1 Zarenne FAS (5m Varenne-Miss Muscle FAS) for trainer Jerry Riordan and reinsman M.A. Djuse. Third home was 9.1/1 Into Boko (5m Chocolatier-Sue Boko) for Mika Forss and trainer Timo Nurmos.
