Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) and Bendigo Harness Racing Training Centre have joined forces to provide licenced industry participants the opportunity to further their careers.
The Bendigo Training Centre will host the professional learning day on Tuesday, February 20, and the invite to attend has been sent to all HRV licenced trainers.
“This is a great opportunity for participants to learn from a panel of expert trainers about starting out in the harness racing game,” HRV General Manager of Racing Glen Canty said.
“All trainers are welcome to attend but we especially encourage new trainers to attend because they are the ones who will benefit enormously from this kind of training.
“HRV and the Bendigo Training Centre are passionate about assisting where we can in the development of our industry participants, so we are hoping for a good roll-up.”
Training techniques and other industry education will be discussed and a Q&A session will ensure educational discussion.
The day will also include a presentation about HRV’s HERO Program, incorporating a practical demonstration by horseman Warren Cochrane from Cobe Lodge.
The Professional Learning Day will be held at the Bendigo Harness Racing Club from 11am until 2.30pm.
The event is free and includes morning tea and lunch.
Please register your interest in attending with Vicki Moro (HRTC) before February 13 at vicki.moro@hrtcbendigo.com.au or 0447 032 770.
