Mythical Hall crossed the finish line as the winner in the $12,000 Open Trot on Tuesday (May 27) in the evening's ninth race. Monday's score is the third win in 12 starts this year. He is trained by Andy Rickert for West Seneca, New York owner, Mark Jakubic. North America's leading driver, Aaron Merriman, was aboard for the winning drive.

Mythical Hall (Andover Hall-Myth-Lindy Lane) started from post six. He left at the start and sat the pocket through fractions of :27.4, :57.3 and 1:26. He responded when Merriman called upon him in the stretch and bested his competition by ¾-length in 1:55.2. The clocking is Mythical Hall's fastest in a trio of wins so far in 2014. Completing the race were Rose Run Logan, Life Long Hanover, Edit, Master's Sweetie, Wind Surfer, Mary's Darvin and Full Force. Schalyn was scratched.

Mythical Hall now has 21 career successes and an impressive bankroll of $360,363. He paid $8.40 to win.

In the evening's 10th race, Rockin Finish captured the $12,000 Open Pace. Virgin Morgan Jr. conditions the pacer for Gerrie Tucker of Montreal, QC, CA.

Rockin Finish (Rocknroll Hanover-Please Me Please-Camluck) started from the second tier but moved as soon as his rivals were set, went straight to the lead and never looked back. He made every pole a winning one through times of :27.2, :56.1, 1.25 and 1:53.1. He was 1 ¾-lengths in front when he crossed the finish. JS Tango, Irish Elitist, Soap Suds, Cullens Blue Jean, Just Crowned, Lyons JosephJNR, Tommy Two Shoes and Dungeon Dragon followed Rockin Finish through the wire.

Tuesday's triumph increased Rockin Finish's lifetime win tally to 16 and his earnings to $273,682. He was the race favorite and returned $4.20 to win.

Northfield Park Adds $5,000 Guaranteed Pick 5 Pool to Wednesday’s Program 

Northfield Park is announcing the addition of a $5,000 Pick-5 total pool guarantee to Wednesday’s (May 28) program.

Beginning in race three, the $5,000 Pick-5 guaranteed total pool includes a carryover of $1,095.

Northfield’s Pick-5, Pick-4 and the Pick-3s offer a reduced takeout rate of just 14 percent.

Wednesday’s post time is 6 p.m.
