Young trotter Ulster (Glidemaster) parlayed the pocket ride to victory for leading driver Billy Dobson on Tuesday night at Saratoga Casino and Raceway.

The three-year-old Ulster inherited the rail after a scratch of one of his rivals and wound up getting a two-hole trip behind pacesetter LG's Pride (Jordan Derue) who was making his local debut.

Ulster sailed by in the stretch to record a lifetime best win in 1:59.2 in the evening's $6,500 featured race. LG's Pride was the race's runner up while Master Act (Stephane Bouchard) came on to finish third.

Ulster, who is trained by Joe Facin Jr, went off at odds of 9-2.
