Freshman pacer Mister Skitter (Western Terror) broke his maiden in impressive fashion at Saratoga Casino and Raceway on Tuesday night.

The Don Sherman-trained two year old finished third last week in his first start with leading driver Billy Dobson in the sulky.

On Tuesday night, the rookie pacer flashed early speed and sat the pocket to the race's favorite. When the front runner began to tire approaching the head of the stretch, Dobson elected to move Mister Skitter to the far outside and was three wide in the lane when he came charging hard to reel in rival Jojo Jove (Dave Byer) to break his maiden in a strong win time of 1:57.3.

Jojo Jove was the runner up for the second consecutive week while freshman Here Comes Karma (Frank Coppola Jr) came on to earn the show spot in the $4,800 race comprised of mostly freshman pacers. The win for Mister Skitter was one of two on the card for conditioner Don Sherman and one of three on the night for Billy Dobson.

Live racing continues on Wednesday night at Saratoga with a first post time set for 7:05pm.
