European Derby elims to Tumble Dust & Vasterbo Loveboat

Tumble Dust (4m Crazed-Affinity-Victory Dream) won tonight's first elimination for the October 4 European Derby to be held at Mauquenchy (France).

The Tomas Malmqvist trained, Stall Tumble Dust owned colt, record his fourth straight win and increased his earnings to 3,164,197SEK (over US$444,000) as the prohibitive favorite.

The handy colt, a recent Danish Derby winner, led start to finish for Orjan Kihlstrom and won by two lengths in 1.13.3kr under no urging.

Radieux (4m Love You-Dordogne-Viking Kronos) was second for Erik Adielsson and Dominator (4m Donato Hanover-Ultra Sund-Viking Kronos) ended third for Kenneth Haugstad. The winner earned 150,000SEK for the victory over 2140 meters autostart.

The second European Derby elimination went to fast closing Vasterbo Loveboat (4m Love You-Vasterbo Highclass-Pine Chip) with Erik Adielsson up for trainer Svante Bath and owner Olof Brodin Chartering AB.

D'One (4f Donato Hanover-Giant Diablo-Supergill) was a close second for Orjan Kihlstrom after setting the pace for trainer Roger Walmann. Boys Going In (4m Going Kronos-Namura-Buvetier d'Aunou) was third for trainer/driver Fredrik Persson. The winner scored in 1.12.7kr over the 2140 meter autostart course to secure 150,000SEK first money, and now has 14 wins in 25 starts for career earnings of 1,522,000SEK.
