Unfortunately boom Southland pacer U May Cullect won’t line up in tomorrow’s Hannon Memorial.
“It’s not a big deal. He got a stone bruise yesterday. We just didn’t want to go up there and do something silly. It’s not his bad leg, it’s the other one and if he favours it, it might put some pressure on the other one,” said co-trainer Tank Ellis.
Ellis said the horse will have the weekend off, do plenty of wading in the salt water at Oreti Beach and will probably head up to Addington in a fortnight.
“It not the end of the world to us, it’s just a wee hiccup.”
