As predicted US- bound Sebastian K, the number one horse on the UET Masters Series rankings, is the notable absentee of the first list of invitees for the UET Masters Series Final at Vincennes on Saturday.
Sebastian K, the winner of the inaugural UET Masters Series final in Sweden last year, instead will be set for the Aby Stora Pris before departure to the U.S..
However the field is an absolute stellar one – one of the best fields ever assembled, with dual Prix’dAmerique winner Ready Cash, rising superstar Timoko, world record breaking mare Save The Quick and the past two winners of the Elitloppet Commander Crowe and Nahar (the richest horse in Sweden this year) included in the field.
Commander Crowe and Nahar, being geldings, are ineligible for classic races like the Prix D’Amerique and this race is a rare opportunity to race classic horses such as Ready Cash.
Also on the invitation list are some of the rising stars of French racing including last year’s Criterium des 5 Ans winner The Best Madrik and Un Mec D’Heripre the beaten favourite in this year’s Criterium Des 5 Ans on the weekend.
But missing from the field will be this year’s winner of the Prix D’Amerique, Royal Dream. The number 4 ranked horse is preparing for a defence of the great French classic and his connections have chosen to bypass this €500,000 race.
€225 000 is the first prize in the race which will be restricted tomorrow to a final field of 16 horses so five horses will be excluded from the field.
Swedish trained horses are the entry list, Bagley, On Track Piraten, Nahar , Deuxieme Picsous and Sanity, Italy will be represented by Main Wise As and Finland by Brad De Veluwe.
