Saturday’s harness racing classic Istvan Szent DIJ, a two heat contest over 1960 meters distance handicap for a 2Huf million purse, went to straight heat winner Ubu Karily (3m Vioxx SR-Helikon-Awesome Goal) with trainer Lajos Marton up for owner Amma i. The three year-old winner raced over the stated distance and he scored in 1.19.9kr in the first heat and 1.22.8kr in heat two. Under World (3m Racino-Zaba-Yankee Class) was second in heat one for trainer/driver Csaba Lakatos and fourth in the second heat to receive a second place two heat placing. Titan Ville (4g Noir Desir-Izaville-Endless Sands) overcame a 40 meter penalty to be third in the first heat for Imre Fazekas, with Ugeto Star and Orlando Bloom being fourth and fifth. In heat two, Orlando Bloom (8g Zador-Donna Summer-First Dust) overcame a 60 meter handicap to be second for Andrea Nagyvary and received a third placing in the two heat summary. Ugeto Star was third in heat two.
The undercard included the Janos Szalay Memorial (purse 1.1Huf million, 1800 meters autostart, two year-olds) that went to 6/1 Villam Ville (2g Beissinger Hanover-Izaville-Endless Sands) for trainer/driver Imre Fazekas and owner/breeder Zolt Zsaket. Celsius Evo (2m Pilgrims Taj-Daniellesire-Donerail) took second for Viktoria Nemeth and trainer Lajos Marton with third to Walking John M (2m Cigar Dan-Dream Broline-Alf Palema) with Branislav Mukity up. The winner was timed in 1.23.4kr.
The 600,000Huf purse Ostschweizer Traberclub DIJ raced over 1960 meters went to 2.1/1 Breve des Baux (5f Querido des Baux-Milady des Baux-Classic Rodney) with Joze Sagai the trainer/driver from SLO. SRB based YUM Commerce is the owner. Twenty meter penalized Milliondollar Lux (10m Ganymede-Dadaumpa-Supergill) was second for trainer/driver Emil Csordas and another twenty meter handicapped performer, Salome’ Bar (5f Ganymede-Acquavite Bar-Crowning Point), was third for Bernadett Balogh, trainer Jozsef Rutkai and owner Prolongo. Race time was 1.17.9kr.
The 400,000Huf purse Pasztilla DIJ over 1800 meters autostart went to the 0.5/1 favorite Timoteo (4m Abano As-Ghirlanda Aas-Diamond Way) for trainer/driver Veljko Mazsity clocked in 1.20.1kr. Magiszter (10m Tony Oaks-Annyrosa-Witsends Speedy) took second for trainer/driver Csaba Lakatos with third to Oldtimer Diamant (6g Ard de Triomphe-Primadonnas Lady-Titan Way) for Emese Vezer and trainer Emil Csordas.
On Friday evening the popular gallop, greyhound and trots program continued. The Pentek Esti Super Sprint went to 08.5kr timed (over 200 meters) Kairo Sun (12m Quick Lobell-Istis Didia) with Karoly Molnar up for trainer Dora Kovacs and owner Oris Horse Rescue Kft. Oldtimer Diamant was second, this one third on Saturday in the Pasztilla DIJ.
