Un Mec d’Heripre took today’s Gr. II International Prix d’Ete at Paris-Vincennes.

One of this summers’ best European based trotters, the six-year-old son of Orlando Vici-I Love You Darling scored in 1.13.2kr over the 2700 meter course to win for Franck Nivard and trainer Fabrice Souloy.

The winner now has 17 career victories good for earnings of €1,001,780. Roxane Grif, a career winner of €2,474,618 battled gamely throughout, much of the journey uncovered on the outside, to hold second for Eric Raffin and trainer Sebastian Guarato. What a great mare she is! Veteran Roi du Lupin closed steadily to be third for Anthony Barrier.

He’s now a career winner of €1,856,845 for owner/trainer J-P Marmion.
