As usual it was a fantastic day's racing at Maryborough, with another highlight being the 2nd Heat of the Vicbred Super Sires for 2-Y-0 Trotters over 2190 metres taken out by Maiden Gully trainer David Van Ryn's Conch Deville/Boot Scootin Glory gelding Unbundled in a 2-06.4 rate.

Driven by Bendigonian Leigh Sutton, Unbundled came out running from outside the front row to clear the field and rated to perfection, held too many guns at the finish for Ryans Commando which trailed, with the first starter Sassy Pinevale an eye catching third.

The heavily supported Dottie Hinson and King Kong Cooma both galloped shortly after the start, making their task of winning almost impossible.

Peter and Kerryn Manning combined to capture the $6,500 My Missindependent Maryborough Trotters Oaks Trial over 2690 metres with the ultra-consistent Speedy Naomi, a daughter of Safely Kept and Kims Fantasy who was a fine trotter herself.

Going forward from outside the front row, Speedy Naomi spent the majority of the race parked outside the pacemaker Im Sonialeelee from the Chris Lang camp, before striding clear in the final circuit.

Holding a big margin on straightening, Speedy Naomi ambled to the wire in defeating the Sydney visitor Miss Adelaide which was severly checked by the galloping Is She Noble shortly after the start and did well to recover, with Star Spangled Rama third after a soft trip on the back of the leader.

The mile rate 2-05.6.

Melton's "Rocket" Rodney Petroff scored a well overdue victory with the Jet Laag/Karamea Tiverton 4-Y-0 Monica Catherine in the Vicbred Pace for C1 & C2 class mares over 2190 metres, returning a 2-05.4 rate.

Enjoying a cosy passage from the pole on the back of Nagasaki Magoo, Petroff used the sprint lane to perfection with Monica Catherine to race clear in the shadows of the post in accounting for Nagasaki Magoo which offered no resistance, with Moon Dancing third after following the pair before moving to the outside in the straight.
