United Back (6m Ni Ho Ped d’Ombree-Pearl Back-Alpha Barbes) took today’s 10th leg of the Grand National du Trot at Graignes, France, covering 2700 meters in 1.15.9kr for reinsman/trainer J-M Bazire.

The 3/5 favorite earned the winners’ share of the €90,000 purse for owner Laurent Ledue in this Gr. III event. United Back secured his 18th win, now for earnings of €289,430. Franck Nivard was second with Tenor de Legende (7g Carpe Diem-Nony Maker) as he could not overcome a 25 meter handicap. Sissi du Morin (8f Grassano-Haltise du Morin) was third at 32/1 for Philippe Daugeard also covering 2725 meters.

The undercard’s Prix de la Federation Nationale des Courses for €32,000 over 2700 meters drew 16 entrants in this European event with Titane Nordique (7m Victory Cruise-Ines Rolls-Siberien) the winner for teamster Sebastian Ernault.

The Markku Vartiainen owned and trained Finish campaigner scored in 1.16.5kr at 1.4/1 odds. Tender and True (7m Coktail Jet-Go Along) was second for Julian Dubois with Norway’s Farmer’s Julia (7f Juliano Star-Frame Talk) third and Italy’s Maillot (8g Daguet Rapide-Schiffer OM) was fourth.

At Solvalla two winners caught our interest. The ASVT Trottex for two year-olds for 110,000SEK to the winner went to M.T.Keepontrotting (2m Credit Winner-Mystical Michelle-Pine Chip) in 1.15.4kr over 1640 meters autostart.

The Jorma Vallo owned colt scored in his first career start over the Kevin Oscarsson teamed Steel Muscle. Food Money (6g Andover Hall-Windylane Hanover-Lindy Lane) scored in 1.11.4kr over 1640 meters autostart. Mercedes Balogh teamed the winner in this event worth 100,000SEK to the winner. Food Money recorded his seventh win in 17 career starts for 1,335,000SEK earned.

Several international veterans scored SWE victories last weekend. Noras Bean (9m Super Arnie-Easy Bean-Songcan) scored at Arjang on September 21 in a comeback effort to earn 30,000SEK first money. Stefan Soderqvist piloted the winner in his first start since April 26th. He is undefeated in four 2014 starts for owner Stall Asunden HB and now has 20 wins in 70 starts for earnings of 11,460,921SEK. The beaten field included Global Investment and Lord Capar. Noras Bean is recovering from what was reported earlier as a career ending injury.

Nahar (9g Love You-Mahonny Broline-Joie de Vie) scored at Solanget on September 20th in a Gold Division worth 150,000SEK to the winner. The Robert Bergh trained and reined international star scored in 1.12.4kr over 2148 meters autostart. Nahar has 29 victories in 87 starts for career earnings of 10,510,598SEK for owner Stall Sedin. Bon Freccia and New Line trailed the winner.
